He also stated that as a research university, UPM is always anchored to the True North UPM framework which emphasizes impactful excellence, talent empowerment, and strengthening strategic collaboration networks. In this regard, the collaboration between UPM and JPPM is believed to contribute to the development of evidence-based research and the production of relevant policy proposals for the country.
Through the signing of this MoU, both parties agree to expand cooperation in several strategic areas including the development of professional training programs, consultancy services in organizational conflict management, joint research, and the establishment of centers of excellence in the field of industrial relations.
The event was attended by YBrs. Encik Sutekno Ahmad Belon, Deputy Secretary General (Operations), Ministry of Human Resources, and YBrs. Encik Aminuddin Ab. Rahaman, Director General of the Department of Industrial Relations Malaysia (JPPM), Ministry of Human Resources.
Also present were Associate Professor Dr. Wan Marzuki Wan Jaafar, Dean of the Faculty of Education, senior officers of the Department of Industrial Relations Malaysia (JPPM), and staff of the Faculty of Education.
The signing of this MoU is expected to serve as a catalyst for the implementation of various high-impact collaborative initiatives in strengthening human capital development and the harmony of business relations in Malaysia.
