SERDANG, 18 June 2026 – The Department of Science and Technical Education successfully organized the Strategic Direction Briefing for Educational Programmes, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) at the Meeting Room, Faculty of Educational Studies.

The briefing was held with the objective of reviewing, enhancing, and updating the curriculum of the undergraduate academic programmes offered by the department. This proactive initiative was undertaken to ensure that the quality and educational input provided by the Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM remain relevant and aligned with the latest developments and framework of the School Curriculum 2027.

To ensure that the information and insights obtained were accurate and up to date, the department invited two experts from the Curriculum Development Division (CDD), Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE), namely Ms. Rahayu Jaapar and Mr. Raja Firdaus Raja Sulaiman from the Information Technology and Technology Design Sector. Both invited speakers shared critical information and provided valuable insights into the new direction of the School Curriculum 2027, which is expected to be implemented in schools in the near future.

The knowledge-sharing session fostered a highly positive synergy between the Curriculum Development Division, MOE, and the Department of Science and Technical Education. The programme was further enriched by an interactive question-and-answer session, in-depth roundtable discussions, and the exchange of constructive ideas and recommendations that will benefit both parties in advancing the future of education in Malaysia.
