The BPSRT 2024 SPECIAL EFFECT (SFX) MAKEUP RUNAWAY program was held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 starting at 8:30 am (laboratory visit for the make-up process) and 11:30 am for the special effect make-up (SFX) runaway event located in the Laboratory Cosmetology Faculty of Education Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia. This program is the practical coursework of STE3271 (Hairdressing) and STE3272 (Facial Treatment and Make-up) under the management of Ms. Hajjah Anis Zakaraia for the students of Cohort Starhgea Semester 4, Bachelor of Home Science Education with Honors (BPSRTdK).

The objective of this program is for students to hone their talents and highlight creativity in the world of make-up in addition to providing in-depth knowledge, skills and exposure related to the types of special effect make-up while fostering the value of teamwork and professional ethics. This program activity received a warm welcome from the attendees of almost 90 people consisting of UPM students and staff, lecturers, teachers, students and students of Vocational Colleges and Secondary Schools around the states of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

A variety of themes and special effects make-up techniques highlighted from 13 characters expressed in the form of sketch narration titled Curse of Grandmother Kebayan, Siren, Tragis, Occupant of Room 007, Curse of the Mouse, Wannuri Desa Penari, Bride of Death of Child, Queen Of Hearts, Mermaid X , Clowns, The Story of Criminal Lovers and Bloody Palestine which lasted for 2 hours. Hopefully this program can give exposure to the world of make-up and the SRT field to students and pupils at Vocational Colleges and schools as well as the wider community.
