
PASIR GUDANG, 8 November 2025 – The Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development with Honors, Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has implemented the JIWA PUTRA Program – Volunteerism and Community Service at the Delima 10 Community Hall, Taman Cahaya Masai, in collaboration with the Cahaya Masai Zone Residents Committee (JKPZ) and the Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG).
This program, centered on the spirit of Educational Development, features a variety of community service activities such as tree planting around the community area, mudball making, knowledge transfer sessions, and a community feast involving the active participation of the local community.
The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the Councilor of the Cahaya Masai Zone, the Honorable Mr. Norizam bin Md Yunus, followed by a speech from a faculty representative by the Honorable. Dr. Ahmad Aizuddin Md Rami, and was subsequently officiated by the Honorable Dato' Haji Mustaffa Kamal bin Dato' Haji Shamsudin.
According to Dr. Ahmad Aizuddin, this program not only strengthens the element of developmental education among students but also serves as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability, community governance, and sustainable human resource development.
Thru the implementation of this initiative, UPM continues to strengthen collaborative relationships with local authorities and the local community toward creating a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient community, in line with the university's aspirations as a leader of excellence in education, research, and community service.
