Malam Kenduri Puisi was officiated by Associate Professor Dr. Wan Marzuki Wan Jaafar, Dean of FPP. As an opening gimmick, he recited a poem titled "Tanpa Seorang Guru". The lively program with various performances including boria, dekon (modern declamation), song singing and skits was attended by nearly 120 guests consisting of students, staff and fans as well as poetry enthusiasts.

This program was graced with the presence of YB. Senator Professor Datuk Seri Dr. Awang Sariyan who is also a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Educational Studies. YB Datuk Seri also also recited a poem titled "Taklif Sang Pendidik". In addition, among the invited declamations were, Tuan Ahmad Shukri bin Abdullah who is a poet born in Perlis, Tuan Badrul Hisham bin Abdul Hamid known as "Cikgu Badrul" and Dr Suriani Ismail, Department of Professional Development and Further Education, FPP.
                                       

The organization of this program is also a sign of appreciation to the line of lecturers who have sown a lot of devotion and educated the nation's children. In addition, this program is also a platform for unearthing talent and fuelling love for the value of literature and poetry.

Congratulations to Dr Shamsudin Othman, Department of Language and Humanities Education as the instructor of the LHE3151 course and students of the Za'ba cohort Bachelor of Education in Malay Language with Honors (BPBMdK) for organizing this lively Poetry Night. According to Dr. Shamsudin Othman "the poetry feast program is an assessment in the form of building self-confidence and character empowerment in teaching pedagogy. In relation to that, this program proved to be able to mobilize a combination of creativity with organizational cooperation."
