13 September 2024, Friday, Kelantan - A Glimpse of the 2024 Green Care Education Care Program (Green Care 2024) in conjunction with the Work Visit of YBhg. Grandfather Dr. Ching Thoo a/l Kim, Secretary-General (KSU) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Natural Sustainability (NRES), on 13 and 14 September 2024 to Aril Village, Melor, Kelantan which is the NRES Civil Lift Village.

NRES has collaborated with Yayasan Hijau Malaysia and Universiti Putra Malaysia to make three series of knowledge sharing workshops with the village community a success. These three workshops consist of the Used Fabric Innovation Workshop led by Mrs. Rosinar Johari, the Plant Container DIY Workshop led by Dr. Nurzatulshima Kamarudin and Puan Nurul Norzakiah Mohd Nasir and the Kokodema Creative Art Workshop run by Cik Siti Rahayu Abdul Ghaffar and Cik Ashana Shafiie. The Green Care 2024 program or more affectionately referred to as "Caro Alam" by local residents was also brightened up by the presence of Associate Prof. Dr. Wan Marzuki Wan Jaafar, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Studies.

In addition, various activities were also held in conjunction with the KSU visit, including cultural performances, aerobics led by Puan Rafidah Abdul Rashid and Puan Zeiti Zulhaini, Muay Thai martial arts demonstration, lucky draw, mutual aid, a visit to the Siam Type Inspiration project site, Aril village and others.
The Green Care 2024 Program Implementation Committee expresses its deepest appreciation to NRES, Yayasan Hijau Malaysia, the Aril Village Committee and the management of the UPM Faculty of Education for their cooperation, assistance and support in making this program a success. Hopefully the shared knowledge will benefit the local population towards cultivating sustainable lifestyle practices.
