PUTRAJAYA, December 17, 2025 – The Faculty of Educational Studies (FPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in education by receiving the Highest International Student Enrollment in 2025: Postgraduate Award at the UPM – ASEAN Cultural Nexus 2025: A Celebration of Excellence Gala Dinner held recently at Everly Hotel Putrajaya.
The prestigious award was presented by YBhg. Dato' Professor Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Bin Mohd Sadullah, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia, in recognition of FPP's outstanding achievement in recording the highest number of postgraduate international student admissions for the year 2025.
According to Prof. Madya Dr. Wan Marzuki Wan Jaafar, Dean of the Faculty of Education Studies, stated that this achievement is the result of the commitment of all faculty members in strengthening academic quality and international networks. This award is a significant recognition of the FPP community's continuous efforts in promoting academic excellence, expanding international collaborations, and ensuring that the postgraduate programs offered remain relevant and competitive globally. This achievement is in line with the faculty's aspiration to be "Leading in Educational Studies," he said.
The event, organized by the Putra International Center (i-PUTRA), served as a strategic platform to recognize the contributions of university staff and stakeholders in achieving UPM's internationalization agenda thru inbound and outbound mobility programs, summer programs, and regional ASEAN strategic networks.
This recognition received simultaneously strengthens the role of the Faculty of Educational Studies as a leader in supporting UPM's aspirations toward global excellence, in line with the faculty's slogan "Leading in Educational Studies."
