Uniqueness and strengths of programmes offered

The Master of Education, the Master of Science and the Doctor of Philosophy are postgraduate programmes in Educational Psychology offered by the Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia. These programmes are suitable for students who are interested in understanding and building an effective teaching and learning environment with a psychological process that shapes learning behaviour at schools, workplaces, higher education institutions and other educational settings.

The strengths of the programmes are as follows:

• The programmes provide a wide range of applied educational psychology especially in the field of teaching and learning, cognitive neuroscience, education for children with special needs and social psychology.
• The programmes focus on cognitive and learning development in various context of education from childhood to adulthood as well as lifelong learning.
• The students are supervised by experts in the field of educational psychology, especially in cognitive science, child and adolescent development psychology, science of learning, motivation and inclusive education, to unleash the potential and to prepare individuals for the Industrial Revolution.
• The 21^st century classrooms featuring dynamic integration of infrastructures (space and technology), structured information and curriculum are provided.
• Research-oriented, multidisciplinary, problem-solving approach and industrially related  programmes in the field of educational psychology.
