Riau, Indonesia 18 August 2024 (Sunday) - The Department of Science and Technical Education, Faculty of Education, Universiti Putra Malaysia has sent a total of 10 final year Bachelor of Agricultural Science Education with Honors students to undergo Teaching Training and Internship (LMI) at Vocational High School State (SMKN) of Integrated Agriculture in Riau Province, Indonesia from July 29, 2024 to August 18, 2024. This Teaching Training and Internship aims to provide new experiences to students and provide exposure to Agricultural Science Education to them in Indonesia. This gives them the opportunity to learn and contribute their existing knowledge to the students in the school.

The students involved are placed in the Agricultural Mechanization unit (MP), the Plantation Agribusiness unit (ATP), the Plant Seeding Agribusiness unit (APT), the Agricultural Product Processing Agritechnology unit (APHP), the Poultry Agribusiness unit (ATU), the Agribusiness unit Food Crops and Horticulture (ATPH) and Freshwater Fisheries Agribusiness unit (APAT) at the school. This program has a great impact on the Bachelor of Agricultural Science Education with Honors program in understanding the LMI narrative at the international level and received a good response from the principal and teachers of the State Integrated Agricultural Vocational Secondary School in Riau Province, Indonesia. It is hoped that this program can be continued in the future.
