Putra Glorious Ceremony and UPM Labour Day Celebration 2019


03/05/2019 – Great Hall, Cultural and Art Centre of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PKKSSAAS) UPM once again witnessed the Putra Glorious Ceremony and the Labour Day Celebration 2019 concurrently. UPM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datin Paduka Dato 'Dr. Aini Ideris expresses her gratitude and appreciation to the committee on the initiative of a very meaningful council initiative for UPM citizens. She believed the council had a profound meaning to the University and its citizens, where the outstanding commitment and achievement of university students was rewarded with recognition and appreciation.



The UPM Labour Day Celebration 2019 is celebrated with the theme "Trust Employee Nation's Aspiration". This is the theme of Workers Day this year at national level. YAB Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad spoke at the Labour Day Celebration 2019 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre. This theme emphasizes how we Malaysians, especially employees, should perform our work and responsibilities with the principles of trust and integrity to drive the nation's prosperity with diverse cultures, races and religions.



The Council also witnessed three (3) PKKSSAAS employees receiving their respective awards namely Mr. Rosley Abd. Hamid, Mr. Muhammad Mokhtar Abdul Rahman and Mr. Hj. Anuar Hj. Ahmad received the Putra Jasa (Retired) Award while the Excellent Service Award 2018 was awarded to Mr. Muhammad Mokhtar Abdul Rahman.
