FPP UPM Remains Committed to Driving Community Development Thru the MADANI Adopted School Program at SK Kampung Tunku

  

 

Petaling Jaya, January 28, 2026 – The Faculty of Educational Studies (FPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner to the community by completing the Sports Equipment Handover Ceremony to Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Tunku, Petaling Jaya, as the adopted school under the MADANI Adopted School Program initiative.
This event, which took place in a simple yet meaningful atmosphere, was officiated by Dr. Mohd Faiq bin Abd Aziz, Deputy Dean (Research, Innovation and Funding), Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM. Also present were Puan Rosmawati binti Mat Som, Headmistress of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Tunku; Encik Shahiran Ghazali, Senior Assistant Teacher 1; the teaching staff and representatives from the Deputy Dean's Office (Research, Innovation and Funding), FPP UPM.
In his speech, Dr. Mohd Faiq emphasized that FPP's involvement in the MADANI Adopted School Program is not merely a physical contribution, but rather a continuous effort by the faculty to empower the community thru education, human development, and social well-being.
The Faculty of Education is committed to playing an active role as a driver of community development by transferring academic expertise and resource support to adopted schools. "This initiative aligns with Malaysia MADANI's aspirations, which emphasize human values, well-being, and building a resilient society," he said.
He also explained that providing sufficient and quality sports equipment can have a direct impact on the development of students' potential, particularly in strengthening physical health, discipline, leadership, and teamwork. This effort also supports FPP's goal of producing a generation of students who are balanced physically, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually (PESI).
Meanwhile, Puan Rosmawati binti Mat Som expressed her deepest appreciation to the Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM, for their concern and continuous support for the needs of the school and students.
This contribution has a significant impact on our school community. "It not only improves the quality of teaching and learning in Physical Education but also fosters a culture of healthy living and strengthens students' confidence to be active in sports and extracurricular activities," he said.
The contributions made include various equipment for softball and soccer, which will be fully utilized in teaching and learning sessions, school team training, and student talent development programs.
The event concluded with a symbolic handover of sports equipment to school representatives and a photo session with the students. Overall, this program reflects FPP's role as an agent of social change, which not only focuses on academic excellence but also makes a real impact on the well-being of the local community thru a high-impact educational approach.
