Serdang, November 14, 2025 – The Faculty of Educational Studies (FPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) recorded a Graduate Employability (GE) rate of 99.3% for the year 2024, thus maintaining its excellent performance in producing competitive and capable graduates. This achievement was announced during the Faculty Graduate Employability Performance Presentation Session organized by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Graduate Employability Development (CEM).
Deputy Dean (Academic, Student and Alumni), Dr. Nor Azni Abdul Aziz stated that FPP is committed to strengthening the employability of graduates thru strengthening industry relations, curriculum enhancement, soft skills development, and career and alumni support. He emphasized that the faculty not only produces knowledgeable graduates but also ensures they are prepared to meet the current and future needs of the job market.
At the university level, UPM recorded a GE for Citizens of 99.6% for 2024, an increase of 0.2% compared to 2023 (99.4%). This achievement surpasses the 12th Malaysia Plan target of 86.4% for the national GE, and exceeds UPM's internal target of 95% for the same year. This success strengthens UPM's reputation as an institution that consistently produces high-quality graduates.
The ceremony also saw the presentation of appreciation plaques by CEM Director, Associate Professor Dr. Hizmawati Madzin, and was also attended by Dr. Nor Azni Abdul and Puan Nadiah Kamaruddin, Assistant Registrar (Academic, Student and Alumni), FPP.
