Shah Alam, 19 June 2025 (Thursday) – A total of twelve students from the Postgraduate Student Association of Technical and Vocational Education conducted an academic visit to the Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST) in Shah Alam, Selangor . The visit, comprising students enrolled in the Master of Education in Technical and Vocational Education programme, was led by the programme director, Muhammad Faris Danial, and accompanied by Ts. Dr. Mohd Hazwan Mohd Puad, Head of the Department of Science and Technical Education.

This visit provided a platform for CIAST officials and postgraduate students specializing in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to engage in a two‑way dialogue on best practices in TVET curriculum design and implementation. Students were introduced to industry requirements and expectations regarding the skills of the national workforce, assessed the effectiveness of curriculum delivery in actual training environments, and learned about collaboration strategies between educational institutions and industry within the TVET landscape. Participants also observed the ongoing pre‑qualification round of the WorldSkills Malaysia Belia (WSMB) competition being held at CIAST.

It is hoped that this engagement will enhance the delivery and effectiveness of the Master of Education in Technical and Vocational Education programme at the Faculty of Education, while also fostering professional networks and collaboration opportunities between the two TVET institutions.
